I was walking one of the trails at Long Hunter State Park in Tennessee when I came across this doe. The expression in her eyes was like, Are you going to hurt me?

In 1964 the high school I was attending had a photography class. I decided to try it out and I loved it. I became the schools best photographer until I graduated in 1966. I wasn't done and decided to join the Navy and continue my passion as a photographer on the high seas. Well that dream wasn't met in the beginning. My recruiter told me I would come out of boot camp as a designated Photographers Mate. Instead I came out as a Sonar Technician General. To make a long story short, two years later I passed the Third Class Photographers exam I and became a Third Class Photographers Mate.
